Sanctuary Campaign Task Force

The California Sanctuary Campaign is co-sponsored by Wellstone and Block by Block Organizing Network (BBBON). The Campaign defines sanctuary in broad terms to include support for all social groups subject to discrimination, persecution, and abuse on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual or gender identity, physical and mental capacities, and economic resources. Currently we are focusing on a broad Sheriff Reform Project to enact state and county legislation to curb the unchecked power and abuses of the archaic system of elected sheriffs in California generally and particularly of Sheriff Ahern in Alameda County. For more information about participating, contact co-conveners Judith Stacey and Sharon Rose
