Resolution on the Declaration of Sanctuary Cities in Alameda County And Declaration of California as a Sanctuary State<\/h3>\n

Whereas:<\/strong>
\nPresident \u2013 Elect Donald Trump has made credible threats of mass deportations of\u00a0immigrants determined, by yet unspecified procedures, to be undocumented; threatening\u00a0the withholding of federal funds to Sanctuary Cities; and<\/p>\n

Whereas:<\/strong>
\nPresident \u2013 Elect Donald Trump has made proposals that all Muslims be required\u00a0to register with unspecified authorities; has not distanced himself from \u201cwhite\u00a0nationalists\u201d who claim to speak in his name; has encouraged hatred of the LGBTQ\u00a0sectors of our society; and<\/p>\n

Whereas:<\/strong>
\nPresident \u2013 Elect Donald Trump has declared his intention to appoint to\u00a0Administrative and Cabinet level positions men who have proven records of racism, anti -semitism, and disregard for the basic civil rights and liberties guaranteed by the\u00a0Constitution; be it<\/p>\n

Resolved:<\/strong>
\nThat the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee urges the Alameda\u00a0County Board of Supervisors and the City Councils of all cities in Alameda County to\u00a0refuse to honor any request by the Trump Administration to use any of their resources,\u00a0including Police and Sheriff\u2019s Deputies to participate in any mass arrests or internments
\nmandated by the Trump Administration; and be it further<\/p>\n

Resolved:<\/strong>
\nThat the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee urges the California\u00a0Democratic Party, the Legislature, and the Governor to offer full support for such actions\u00a0of non compliance by declaring California a Sanctuary State.<\/p>\n<\/div>
