Oakland City Council to vote on feasibility study for Public Bank of Oakland

Tues, Sept 19th, the Oakland City Council will vote on whether to fund the feasibility study required to launch a “Public Bank of Oakland”, a public bank owned and run the by the citizens of the city. Show up if you want to support the city council funding the study!

At the September 19 Oakland City Council meeting, the councilmembers will vote on whether to fund the remaining $75,000 of the $100,000 we need to do our feasibility study. The meeting starts at 5:30 at Oakland City Hall, 14th and Broadway. Please plan on coming to support us, sporting your green Friends of the Public Bank t-shirt.
