Honoring State Senator and Activist Loni Hancock

Sunday, April 27, 2014
4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Uptown Body and Fender, 401 26th Street, Oakland, CA

State Senator Loni Hancock has, since 1971, served as Berkeley City Councilmember, Berkeley mayor (the first woman), State Assemblymember, and State Senator. She has been an unswerving advocate for social justice, public education, and environmental protection. Loni now leads the much-needed effort to reform prison practices in California.

Joining us will be Congresswoman Barbara Lee, whose principled opposition to war and support for social justice has inspired us all.
