KICK-OFF — Bay Area Initiative Campaign to Repeal The Anti-Tenant Costa-Hawkins Law … After 23 Years.

Please make plans NOW to Attend !

Tenants, Tenant Advocates, Housing Organizers, Allies

We have a huge opportunity to deal a blow to displacement and expand protections for California’s 17 million renters this year. When voters repeal the 1995 Costa Hawkins Rental Housing Act this November, our cities will be able to expand rent control to far more units and keep them affordable over time. The future of our cities and who will live in them is at stake.

We must act now!

In order to build statewide unity in the campaign to repeal Costa Hawkins by passing the Affordable Housing Act, you are formerly invited to the Bay Area Kickoff to enable Real Rent Control !

Date: Saturday, March 10, 2018
Time: 10 am – 12 noon
Location: Fruitvale Village Plaza … (between International and E 12th)

The goal of the event is to bring together Bay Area organizations and individuals committed to expanding rent control and stopping the displacement of tenants throughout California. We want to repeal Costa Hawkins at the November ballot and create a new housing system that prioritizes human need over greed. We are coming together to build the movement needed for to win this critical ballot in 2018 !

Please make plans NOW to Attend !
